A new adventure
June 14th 2008 03:41
Welcome to my blog. One of the things I decided to do "for me" when a redundancy in March gave me my new "stay-at-home-mum" status.
After going back to work only 10 weeks after my adorable and always entertaining 23 month old was born, I'm finally enjoying some belated maternity leave. And I am loving it. While our lifestyle has changed dramatically without the double income, the family time we enjoy as a result is soooo worth it. Not to mention the "me time". I still get the guilts about not working but hey, being a mum is bloody hard work, and the joy of watching my little bloke blossom is better than any paycheck or corporate perk!
I'll probably have to go back to work at some stage, what with interest rates & petrol prices soaring, but I'm planning to enjoy this time while it lasts, and document the highlights, lowlights, questions and discoveries right here.
It's my new adventure...
