Sheryl Crow adds to the list of celebrity adoptions

I read on MSN.com today that Sheryl Crow has adopted another son, adding to a very long list of celebrities that adopt kids. I think it's great that celebrities adopt so much, though I often question how stable a home life the kids are getting. It seems like it would be a tough life for a kid, since they're probably moving around a lot and don't see as much of their adoptive parents as they should. Add that to the fact that many celebrity marriages have a pretty short shelf life, and it's probably not as glamorous as it may seem. Plus some celebrities seem to adopt mainly for publicity. I have a lot of respect for Sandra Bullock, who somehow kept her recent adoption out of the media for a surprisingly long time. Celebrities who adopt for publicity annoy me, kind of like celebrities that sell exclusive first pictures of their kids for millions of dollars or have their kids on reality shows...it just seems like exploitation. Still, celebrity adoptions put adoption in general in the spotlight, which is a good thing. There are plenty of kids out there hoping and waiting for a better life.
